   I’ve commented before about how L.L. Bean’s models don’t have enough facial hair for my tastes. That aside, I did enjoy the archive of yourllbeanboyfriend. This pic is the closest example of what I’ve seen rural Mainers wear. (I live east of Ellsworth, along the downeast coast.) Some L.L. Bean clothing is “dressing fancy” to some rural men in my area (including my dad). The catalogue models are quite polished and swanky, even with their stubble and hints of beard.

   For anyone looking for a Mainer to date, there’s better selection (on OKCupid) anything from the Bangor area and south. I bet it’s because the lumberjacks are too busy chopping wood and such to make a dating profile.
